Tavias’ love for fine southern food was birthed early on in his grandmother Vivian’s kitchen. A retired chef herself, he was always on hand in the kitchen as her aid where she helped to cultivate his culinary gift. As Tavias grew older he continued to hone his skills in the kitchen and mastered the art of southern cooking. In 2015 Tavias graduated from Le’Cole Culinaire Memphis TN with a degree in culinary arts.
Tavias’ love for food developed into a vision for a culinary experience that blend southern cuisine with a splash of class. After Vivian passed away he knew he would pay homage to her by naming the restaurant in her honor. After years of working to make the vision a reality, the appointed time has come and Vivian’s opened its doors in August 2018.
